NNA - Burning down father Srouji's as-Sa'eh bookstore is a barbaric arson which has nothing to do with Islam, Grand Mufti of the Republic Muhammad Qabbani stated in his public condemnation today.



Arsonists strive to drag both Muslims and Christians into a sectarian strife bound to encompass later all the sects in an apparent attempt to divert attention off the sectarian in-fights in Tripoli as he said.



Patriotic Tripoli which cherished high morality and Christian-Muslim coexistence would never sink into the confessional quagmire, the Mufti concluded.
