NNA - Progressive Socialist Party leader, Walid Jumblatt, said Monday the assassination of a symbol of moderation, like martyr Mohammad Shatah, cannot halt the path of dialogue and free thought.



"Immortalizing the memory of martyr Shatah and the innocent martyrs is feasible through more determination to hold onto dialogue and moderation," the lawmaker said in his weekly remarks made to the party's e-publication, al-Anbaa.



"Physical liquidation is a retarded choice," he stressed, warning of the obscurantism sweeping the region.


He also upped calls upon the Lebanese to approach the local situation with rationality and wisdom to avoid a more deteriorated and ailing juncture.
