NNA - Maronite Patriarch, Cardinal Beshara Rahi, chaired Sunday Mass in the patriarchal seat in Bkirky whereby he addressed in his homily the current situation in Lebanon which made the Lebanese environment an incubator of violent motives rendering the entire country victim of such narrow politics.



Rahi recalled the distinguished diversity within the union of Lebanon, a feature that should be preserved.



"Lebanon is the land of common living. The land where religions and cultures meet," said the Patriarch.



"All these components form a united national environment based on dialogue and solidarity, in a democratic system that respects civil liberties and human rights, enriched by the culture of communication, which rejects the language war, violence and terrorism," he added.



"In this context, we can not ignore what is happening in Tripoli. Unfortunately, the new round of overnight violence between Saturday and Sunday warns of security exposure, despite the plan executed by security services and the army."



He concluded by praying that God protects and saves Lebanon.
