NNA - "Future" bloc member, Deputy Samir Jisr, said on Tuesday that there "was an international and regional consensus to alleviate the situation in Lebanon," expecting that the situation in the south would not deteriorate.
The MP condemned the attack on the Lebanese Army in the South on Sunday night which claimed the life of an Army sergeant, calling on the Lebanese to await investigations in order to confirm whether the act was individual or planned.
Jisr called on the concerned sides to control the borders.
"Borders should be controlled as much as possible, even if it is required to seek the UNIFIL's support, although March 8 opposes it," the MP told the "Voice of Lebanon" radio.
On another note, Jisr stressed the need to form a Cabinet imminently to exit the stalemate situation.
