Kataeb sounds alarm on culture of imported suicide bombers

NNA - Kataeb cautioned against the dissemination of the culture of imported suicide bombers, stressing the need for putting an end to such a culture through controlling borders and observing entry and exit movement in and out of the Palestinians camps.

Kataeb's fresh words came on Monday in a statement issued in the wake of its politburo regular meeting, presided over by Party Head, Amine Gemayel.

The meeting broached the current developments and hour issues.

Gemayel briefed the conferees on the outcome of his meetings in the United States, which focused on the need to spare Lebanon the risks that jeopardize its stability as a result of the Syrian crisis and its repercussions.

Gemayel also asked of the U.S. officials to work with the international community to halt assaults entailing Christians, calling for "putting all potentials to obtain the release of Archbishops Boulos Yazigi and Yohanna Ibrahim, as well as Maaloula nuns."

On the other hand, Kataeb condemned in the strongest terms the attack on the army in the city of Sidon, regarding it as "a dangerous development that targets the last legitimate military and security bastion, and the last warden line of stability and security."

The Phalange Party also warned against "the risks of consecrating disruption attempts, as a prelude to expanding the area of vacuum," calling for a speedy formation of a new government that would secure a political climate that guarantees the election of a new president on its constitutional deadline, without outside assistance.

The Party also underlined the need for following up the promising plan for anchoring stability in the beleaguered city of Tripoli, and addressing the depth of the crisis and its causes.
