NNA - Caretaker Minister of Agriculture, Hussein Hajj Hassan, on Thursday inaugurated a workshop on the challenges in marketing the Lebanese agro products, at the Hotellery School in Dekwaneh.



Today's discussions were part of a project on empowering local communities, executed by UNIDO and funded by the Italian government.



"The current juncture in Lebanon and the region is critical. We hope for stability so that there should be room for development," Hajj Hassan said in his word.



"Today we focus on women's small and medium-sized cooperatives. But we are facing marketing challenges," he indicated.



He explained that work was still underway to assure products' quality and safety, guarantee continuous production, and selling under a trade mark that is hoped to be known later on.



Hajj Hassan said these elements were the key to a successful commerce.
