NNA - Israeli occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's cabinet decided unanimously, today, to stop the work of the Qatari Al Jazeera television network in Israel.

A statement issued by the government did not specify the timing of the decision’s entry into force, as reported by “Sky News Arabia.”

The cabinet vote came after the Israeli Knesset approved a draft law allowing the temporary closure in Israel of foreign broadcast stations considered a “threat to national security” during the war on Hamas in Gaza.

The Israeli occupation Prime Minister said that his government voted in favor of closing Al Jazeera's offices due to what he called "tensions with the news network."
