NNA - Caretaker Information Minister Walid Daouk received on Friday India's Ambassador to Lebanon, Ravi Thapar, within a farewell visit on the occasion of the end of his mission to Lebanon.
Both men went over the bilateral ties and means to bolster them, as they engaged in discussions over the regional and domestic developments.
Daouk hailed Thapar's diplomatic role in Lebanon as well as the cultural and educational role played through the Lebanese-Indian Friendship committee.
Thapar and Daouk also went over the visa-related issue, to facilitate the entry and exit of Indians to Lebanon, whereby the caretaker Minister declared that the issue was being taken care of.
The Indian Ambassador hailed Daouk's role to reinforce the countries relations.
"India's economy sector is in need of cooperation with other countries, mainly Lebanon," the Ambassador said.
"We will be signing a memorandum of cooperation in the agricultural field between Lebanon and India," he said.
