NNA - Lebanese President, Michel Sleiman, on Wednesday met in New York with the Iranian President, Hassan Rouhani, at UN headquarters in New York.
Sleiman also met with his Turkish counterpart, Abdullah Gul, and later on met with the Qatari Emir, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, at the Qatari Embassy in New York.
Besides, Sleiman met with Russia's Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov.
Afterwards, Sleiman met with the Tunisian President, Monsif Marzouki. Both stressed on the necessity of finding a political solution to the Syrian crisis that will safeguard the country from terrorism.
Sleiman ultimately expressed satisfaction to his meetings with Rouhani and Lavrov, assuring that there is an international keenness on Lebanon.
