Turkish aid ship arrives in Beirut for displaced in southern schools

NNA - The Turkish ship AKDENIZ on Thursday arrived at the Port of Beirut, delivering 36 portable shower and toilet units for schools in southern Lebanon housing displaced individuals affected by Israeli aggression. 

Turkish Ambassador to Lebanon, Murat Lutem, handed over the units to Environment Minister Nasser Yassin, coordinator of the governmental emergency committee, in the presence of Relief Committee Secretary-General Brigadier General Bassam Al-Nabulsi. 

Ambassador Lutem reaffirmed Turkey’s commitment to supporting Lebanon, while Minister Yassin thanked Turkey and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for their vital aid, noting that over 250,000 people have been displaced in the south.
