NNA - Social media reports on Monday claimed that leaders of the Syrian revolution had ordered a ban on Fairuz's songs on Syrian state radio and television.  

However, a fact-check by "Fact Check Lebanon" revealed no such decision. 

The team contacted the Syrian Radio and Television Directorate in Damascus, which clarified: "Currently, only official announcements and decisions are being broadcast, and no directive has been issued regarding Fairuz's songs or any other artist."
