NNA — The Directorate of Railways and Public Transport at the Ministry of Public Works and Transport on Thursday announced the launch of three major new bus routes, as part of its ongoing plan to enhance public transport services and offer citizens safer, more efficient commuting options.
The new routes, operated by new buses, officially began service on Tuesday, April 22, 2025. The designated routes are:
1. Adlieh – Chtaura
2. National Museum – Tripoli
3. Khaldeh – Tyre
In an official statement, the Directorate said:
“This step comes as part of the Ministry’s broader efforts to expand Lebanon’s public transport network, ease traffic congestion, and improve both service quality and user safety. In the coming days, additional buses will be deployed on these routes to meet increasing demand and ensure consistent service.”
Detailed schedules and stop locations for the new routes are attached and will remain subject to updates based on public needs and operational evaluations.
The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to continuing the development of the public transport sector as a key driver of economic activity and improved connectivity across all Lebanese regions.
