NNA - President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, on Friday met at Baabda Palace with Minister of Finance Yassine Jaber, who briefed him on the ministry’s work, related legislative matters, and ongoing discussions around upcoming appointments.

President Aoun also received a delegation from his hometown of Aaychiyeh, composed of Victoria Francis Nasr, Charbel Farhat Farhat, Bassam Jean Nasr, Marcel Boutros Farah, Suleiman Khalil Nasr, and Tony Toufic Aoun. The delegation discussed the municipal and mukhtar elections in Aaychiyeh and emphasized their efforts to promote consensus and prioritize the public interest.

Following the meeting, the delegation issued a statement reaffirming its decision to withdraw from the municipal race in favor of local unity. They expressed appreciation for President Aoun’s commitment to democratic principles and praised the role of municipalities in development and public service. The group renewed its trust in the president’s leadership and wished success to all candidates working for the betterment of the town.
