NNA – Minister of Information, Paul Morcos, on Wednesday met with members of the Lebanese diaspora at the Lebanese Consulate in Marseille, during a gathering hosted by Consul General Sonia Abi Azar. The meeting was attended by Monsignor Paul Karam, head of Our Lady of Lebanon Church, Archimandrite Elie Nammour of Saint Nicholas Church, and Dr. Elissar Nadaf, the Minister’s advisor for Francophone affairs.
Discussions centered on the situation in Lebanon, with attendees expressing a sense of “tangible change under the new presidential term and government.”
The diaspora representatives voiced readiness to form a support committee for Lebanon and its public media institutions, especially Télé Liban.
Minister Morcos affirmed that the government is working diligently to implement reforms across various sectors, and underscored the essential role of the Lebanese diaspora in building a renewed Lebanon.
Therese Information Minister also praised the efforts of the Lebanese Consulate in Marseille and listened to the concerns and aspirations of the expatriate community.
The meeting concluded with an agreement to hold a follow-up session soon to coordinate additional support initiatives.
