NNA - Lebanese Army Commander, General Rodolphe Hélou, received U.S. Major General Jasper Jeffers, outgoing head of the Ceasefire Monitoring Mechanism, during a meeting held on Wednesday at Army Headquarters in Yarzeh.

Jeffers formally introduced his successor, Major General Michael Leeney, who officially assumed his duties earlier in the day. The meeting was attended by U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon, Lisa A. Johnson.

Discussions focused on recent developments in southern Lebanon and ongoing efforts to implement the terms of the ceasefire agreement.
