NNA – President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, on Wednesday departed Beirut’s Rafic Hariri International Airport at noon, accompanied by Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Minister Youssef Raji, en route to the United Arab Emirates for a two-day official visit.

The visit comes in response to an invitation extended by UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

President Aoun is scheduled to meet with Sheikh Mohamed and other senior Emirati officials later today to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments.
