Hariri receives MIGA CEO and US ambassador

NNA - Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri received today at the Center House the Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA) Keiko Honda, accompanied by the Regional Director of the World Bank Saroj Kumar Jha.

After the meeting, Honda said: “We are part of the World Bank Group. Our mandate is to bring foreign direct investments to countries like Lebanon. Today, I am with the World Bank Country Director, along with the IFC team, to meet with the Prime Minister. We had a wonderful meeting and we committed to work closely with Lebanon and with his Excellency to support the Capital investment plan. So we are looking forward to work more closely with the people of Lebanon as well as the government.”

Hariri also met with the Special Tribunal for Lebanon Registrar, Daryl Mundis, and discussed with him the work of the tribunal.

Later on, he received the US Ambassador to Lebanon, Elizabeth Richard, and discussed with her the situation and the bilateral relations.
