NNA - Algeria's Ambassador to Lebanon, Ahmed Bouziane, on Friday called for the development of legal frameworks between Lebanon and Algeria “in order to ensure a tempting environment for investors.”

The diplomat’s words came during an economic work meeting at Beirut and Mount Lebanon Chamber, under the patronage of President of economic bodies in Lebanon, Mohammad Choucair, in the presence of a number of dignitaries.

The meeting reportedly focused on ways to strengthen cooperation and the means to craft a roadmap for the development of bilateral economic relations between Lebanon and Algeria.

“This meeting will consolidate cooperation between the two countries that already enjoy strong ties,” the Algerian diplomat said, noting that a large number of Lebanese businessmen work in Algeria. “They work freely in the presence of an attractive framework of investments.”

Bouziane finally indicated that Algeria had promising opportunities and called for a relaunch of the work of the Joint Commission, which was established back in 2002 to follow-up on 12 bilateral agreements.
