NNA - Understanding between Hizbullah and the Aounist Trend remains steadfastly solid rock, Caretaker Minister of Agriculture Hussein Hajj Hassan, told a group of Aounist supporters at their Riyaq main office today.



Neither Syria nor Iran ever dictated to us when it comes to taking decisions on purely domestic levels, Hajj Hassan added. We find General Aoun's standing vis-a-vis religious-sectarian diversity quite appealing, he went on.



While expressing content with what he termed as Arab Spring tendency for change, Hajj-Hassan criticized the attitude of certain Arab heads of state and TV networks in their pay for fomenting a spirit of sectarianism and tribalism. Efforts to smear Islam's reputation by Takfeeri actions in Syria have thus far failed, he went on. He described Hezbollah's project as that of patriotic resistance and reiterated the ideological ties binding his party to Khomeinist Iran. He reiterated calls for a national unity government with a revamped House of parliament keen on exploiting our offshore oil and gas resources as the only way out of the present economic crisis.



The minister accused March 14 forces without naming them of incapacitating security organs to the point of not fighting terrorism or catching culprits. Hizbullah wants a viable state with security forces assuming their full role in the face of Israeli aggression and Palestinian implantation, he retorted.



As we confront a new Takfeeri-led threat, our option and sealed fate would be open confrontation with them and we shall prevail and inflict defeat on them, Hajj-Hassan concluded.
