Zahra: LF to stay away from dialogue

NNA - We hitherto proclaim staying away from national dialogue, leading Lebanese Forces' deputy of the House Antoine Zahra, told Voice of Lebanon morning talkshow today.

Truly, we intend to boycott dialogue rounds albeit, we shall commit to anything coming out from Baabda, Zahra added. Seizing the occasion of Independence Day, Zahra saluted president Sleiman and lashed out at Hizbullah describing its role as mere military proxies for Iranian soldiers striving to control Lebanon.

He warned against designs to cancel the role of the first presidency and March 14 while insisting on holding the presidential election in accordance with designated constitutional deadlines.

Hezbollah's breaking of its own redlines by fighting in Syria, is bound to generate a pacific resistance in rejection of all armed self-sustenance, Zahra added.

He reiterated LF rejection of teaming up with Hizbullah in a vamped up caretaker government and alluded to party of God's responsibility for the assassinations which targeted March 14 figures along the years and blamed the party for the rise of the Takfeeri phenomenon.

He thanked Bassil for retracting the Iranian contract to build a water reservoir in Batroun out of fear of being a cover for an Iranian revolutionary Guard enterprise. Zahra added that Takfeeri alternatives to Assad's regime are not feasible.

On the outcome of recent student elections, Zahra added that they have demonstrated that statehood remains to the Christians' only option.
