Abdel Lahyyan after visiting Serail: We expressed solidarity with Lebanon government, people


NNA - Outgoing Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, met on Wednesday evening at the Grand Serail with Iran's Assistant Foreign Minister for the Arab region and African Affairs, Hussein Amir Al-Lahyyan, where they broached the various facets of Tuesday's disgraceful terrorist act that targeted Iran's Embassy in Beirut.



Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon, Ghazanfar Roknabadi, was present during the meeting.



The Iranian senior official described talks with Premier Mikati as "good and constructive," where he expressed Iran's heartfelt, brotherly solidarity with the Lebanese government and people with regard to yesterday's deplored, terrorist act.



Al-Lahyyan voiced Iran's gratefulness to the relentless efforts by the Lebanese judicial, security authorities working on unveiling details surrounding yesterday's heinous crime.



The Iranian Minister also said that they held lengthy discussions over the various regional developments, underlining the need for commitment to the political process in resolving the Syrian crisis.



Al-Lahyyan emphasized the necessity of putting a final end to the export of terrorism, armed men and arms to the Syrian lands, and the need for all concerned countries and sides to assist the Syrian state in countering bloody terrorism.
