NNA - Speaker of the House, Nabih Berri, on Wednesday met at Ain-el-Tineh with the Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran, Amir Abdulahyan, over most recent developments and the criminal blasts that targeted the Iranian embassy in Beirut yesterday.



"We held very important talks with Speaker Berri. Among the things we discussed, was the despicable criminal operation that targeted the embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Beirut. We also talked about latest developments and suspicious movements of the hard-line Takfiri forces, in addition to the Syrian crisis," the Iranian official told reporters following the meeting.



The meeting was attended by the Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon, Ghazanfar Roknabadi, and Ali Hassan Khalil, the caretaker Minister of Public Health and a political aide to Berri.


"We also discussed the good relations between Iran and Lebanon on all levels, especially in the field of bilateral parliamentary ties, and the Iranian nuclear dossier," he added, reiterating all-out support for the axis of the Resistance. "We will carry on our cooperation and deliberations with all the region's countries to face the extremist dark terrorism Takfirism. We consider that security is a comprehensive and integral notion. Lebanon's security emanates from the security of the Islamic Resistance," he corroborated.


"We will not allow the extremist terrorist Takfiri forces, directed by the Zionist enemy, to make their criminal hands reach the security of our friends and allies, on top of which the dear Republic of Lebanon," he concluded.
