NNA - A sit-in in solidarity with the photographer Samir kassab, who went missing last month while filming the humanitarian ordeal in Aleppo was staged in Samir Qassir Garden/downtown Beirut to demand his quick and safe release along with the taxi driver and Mauritanian co-worker.



Head of the Lebanese broadcasting corporation Muhammad Ibrahim was there at the behest of Information minister Walid Daouk. He informed Kassab family members and media representatives that the ministry would do all it could to secure the release of all three kidnappees. Key protesters made speeches against the immoral kidnapping and walked up the street raising slogans condemning the heinous act. They stated that kidnapping of innocent victims contradicted all religious teachings and urged kidnappers to immediately and unconditionally release all three safe and sound.
