NNA - Lebanese Army Commander General Jean Qahwaji discussed with House Speaker Nabih Berri latest security developments in Tripoli and elsewhere in Lebanon during a stop-over at Ein-Teeneh today.



Berri has been also cabled by Swedish counterpart Pierre Stromberg over prospects for vamped up relations between both Houses of parliament. He also extended an invitation to Berri to visit Stockholm which the Speaker duly accepted.



Congratulatory cables on Independence Day forth came from Ukrainian and Canadian counterparts Vladimir Reebok and Noel Kinsella.
