NNA - German Ambassador to Lebanon Christian Clages met Thursday MP Bahia Hariri in Majdelyoun on a protocol visit, the first of its kind for him to Sidon since assuming office.


Discussions reportedly focused on domestic and regional situations as well as bilateral ties between both countries.


Following the meeting, Clages addressed the press saying, "We have long standing good relations with all factions in Lebanon, and a long historic friendship ties our two people. What we can say is that Lebanon is passing through difficult times because of what is happening with its neighbours, which demands that all parties look for common grounds and understanding for the sake of their country."
