NNA - Development and Liberation Bloc MP, Hani Qobeissy, expressed his fears that the failure to form a government has the malicious intent to keep Lebanon under the influence of certain Arab countries, asserting that it is impossible to restore security and stability in Lebanon in the absence of a government, even one which has resigned but refuses to convene.
Speaking Wednesday night during a commemoration of Ashura in south Lebanon, he referred to the latest case of Israeli espionage on Lebanon, the latest in a series of Israeli offenses against the country, commenting that even that blatant transgression did not urge the caretaker cabinet to meet.
"Whose interests were served by blocking the Parliament and the process of government formation?" he asked, fearing that the blockage was due to orders from some countries who want to sustain their dominion over Lebanon.
