NNA - MP Imad Hout called on the Judiciary not to be lenient while handling the case of the Arab Democratic Party leader Ali Eid.
Jamaa Islamiyya MP told Al Fajer radio that Eid should have appeared before the judge today and provided his statement.
"Attempts to convince Eid to appear before justice failed, since he submitted a medical report to justify his absence," he explained.
The MP said the government was asked to take actions to restore citizens' confidence it the law and its prestige.
"If Ali Eid is summoned then he should appear before justice," he affirmed.
