Fadlallah: To take measures on Israeli espionage case

NNA - Head of the Parliamentary Committee on media and Telecommunications, MP Hassan Fadlallah, declared on Monday, following the committee's session, a series of measures to handle the Israeli spying issue and to file a complaint against Israel before the UN Security Council.

"We have examined the report of the ministerial committee formed in July 2013. According to it, the number of the enemy's spying devices upped, as did the number of listening devices smuggled to Lebanon," he added.

The MP said that this was dangerous as it exposed the Lebanese security, economy and people's lives to real danger.

"We will take deterrent measures and other political procedures against the enemy," he made clear.

In Fadlallah's words, Lebanon will file a complaint against Israel before the UN Security Council, and exert efforts to banish Israel from the International Telecommunication Union.

He also called on all political parties to act responsibly and put aside their differences to deal with national issues.

"This Israeli aggression targets all military institutions, the army, the General Security and the ISF. It also targets all sectors of the country, not a sole party or a certain faction," he explained.

"We all support competent authorities, in preserving our national secrets and security," he concluded.
