NNA - A solar system for heating water was launched Wednesday afternoon in a ceremony held at a social and medical center in Burj Hammoud.



The project was financed by the Italian government, for the purpose of reducing the effect of climate change and boosting the use of renewed energy.



The event was attended by Caretaker Environment Minister, Nazim Khoury, the Italian Ambassador to Lebanon, Giuseppe Morabito, head of Burj Hammoud Municipality and others.



Morabito gave a word highlighting the importance of the project which will open job opportunities for youth and help ameliorate the local economic condition.
