NNA - British Ambassador in Beirut, Tom Fletcher, confirmed Wednesday that the UK was committed to bolstering stability in Lebanon, currently saddled with the reverberations of the 32-month-old Syrian crisis.



The envoy made these remarks during a graduation ceremony for General Security personnel who have successfully completed an English language session.



"Boosting the competence of the General Security members contributes to Lebanon's stability," he corroborated.



Fletcher had earlier visited General Security Chief, Brigadier General Abbas Ibrahim, for talks over the current general situation in Lebanon and the broader Arab region.
