"We are on an official visit that illustrates our political and ministerial role," Hajj Hassan explained, highlighting Lebanon’s common interests with Syria and vice versa.

“It is in the interest of Lebanese exporters to open ‘Nassib’ crossing due to the mere fact that any Lebanese businessman of any political affiliation has great interest in the reconstruction of Syria,” Hajj Hassan maintained, However, the Syrian Minister said that this matter would entail further studies and assessment.

The Caretaker Minister went on to explain that the situation in Syria has changed. “The Syrian state has recovered land and refugees are back in their country. Indeed, Hezbollah assumes a role in this regard,” he added.
