Lebanese Clara Tanios winner of France's Women Bicycle Track Championship

NNA - Lebanese Clara Tanios, hailing from the town of Mahmarsh in Batroun, won the French Women's Bicycle Track 2018 Championship.

Her father, Jihad Tanios, announced that Clara (born in France in 2001) has been training at the rate of 10 hours a week for two years in cycling, swimming and jogging, under the supervision of former French world champion.

On August 14, Tanios was crowned as France's cycling champion for the young women's category. She won the 10 Km race, which was held in a closed loop (with 40 laps).

"Clara and her sister Julie are planning to represent Lebanon in international cycling competitions, and they have been in contact with the Lebanese Cycling Federation," the Father concluded.
