Higher Relief Committee head inspects Ras Baalbeck after flooding

NNA - Head of the Higher Relief Committee, Major General Mohammad Kheir, on Thursday inspect Ras Baalbeck to assess the damages caused by the flooding that had swept the city's homes and streets.


"We came here to uncover the causes of damages and engineering teams are investigating the matter," Kheir told reporters.


"This flooding is a disaster," he said.


"Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri is thoroughly following up on the issue," he added.


"Our mission is to indemnify the locals of Ras Baalbeck and al-Qaa, while restoration and rehabilitation are up to the concerned ministries," he indicated.
