Foucher visits Sagesse University, praises Lebanon's adherence to French language

NNA - French Ambassador to Lebanon, Bruno Foucher, visited the Sagesse University and met with Archbishop of Beirut, Boulos Matar, and University President, Father Khalil Chalfoun.

Foucher toured the campus and listened to a detailed preview of its faculties, departments and deans.

The ambassador highlighted the importance of Francophonie, praising the ongoing cooperation between France and the Sagesse University.
"Francophonie occupies the fifth place in the world. President Emmanuel Macron hopes that the French language (...) will rank third in the world over the next 15 years," he said, praising Lebanon and its clinging to the French language, as well as to science and culture.
