NNA - Interior and Municipalities Minister, Nuhad al-Machnouk, affirmed Wednesday his commitment to "international justice whatever the rulings may be, and regardless of the objections to which no sane person can agree."
On the verge of the International Court of Justice's decision in absentia in the case of the assassination of Prime Minister Rafic Hariri, Machnouk asserted that "Lebanon resorts to justice and not to chaos or sedition or to any means that would sabotage the country."
"This is our right and we shall not relinquish it through justice and law," he added.
Standing before the late Martyr Rafic Hariri's tomb in Al-Amine Mosque in Central Beirut, Machnouk paid tribute to the memory of the beloved Prime Minister, saying, "Despite all the political events and developments, this great man is still, in his grave, the boundary between right and wrong in the country."
"The whole world attests to the march of late PM Rafic Hariri and its ability, strength and cohesion despite everything," Machnouk added, vowing to determinedly pursue said march against all odds.
