Defected Lebanese soldier, Syrian indicted over terrorism charges

NNA - Military Investigative Judge Fadi Sawwan on Thursday issued two indictments against one defected Lebanese soldier and a Syrian national over terrorism charges.

The first indictment accuses Mohammad Mahmoud Zeaiter of belonging to al-Nusra Front, defecting from the Lebanese military, and partaking in the fights against the army in Tripoli.

For his part, Syrian Khaled Sheikh Rashaq is facing charges of belonging to a terrorist armed group and participating in Arsal battles in 2017.
