NNA - Three men were left seriously injured in a shooting outside a mosque in Villiers-le-Bel near the French capital on Friday, after finishing their prayers.
The victims were reportedly shot as they returned to their car in the Val-d'Oise region north of Paris. According to police the shots were not fired at the mosque itself, leaving open the probability that it was a personal and individual incident and not an attack on the religious site.
Four bullets were fired at the men, whom police sources say were from the same family.
Two of the victims aged in their 20s and 30s were rushed to hospital, one of them in critical condition. The third escaped with minor injuries.
