NNA - Future Bloc hailed the historic visit of the Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Bechara Boutros Rai to Saudi Arabia, hoping that this visit would be a message of love and openness to renewed horizons of joint and constructive cooperation for the welfare of both brotherly countries.
"This visit reflects the desire of all the Lebanese to strengthen close relations with the Arab countries, particularly with Saudi Arabia," Future bloc said on Tuesday in a statement issued in the wake of its meeting at the Center House, chaired by Bloc head, Fouad Siniora.
The bloc broached the current situation on the local arena.
The Bloc stressed that its discussions center majorly on the issue of the return of PM Saad Hariri to Lebanon, saying the bloc awaits his return to contribute to the regularity of matters in Lebanon, to restore balance on the internal and external levels and thus to achieve a new start towards promising horizons for the benefit of all the Lebanese.
Future also underlined the paramount importance of adhering to the basic national constants, especially the message of joint Muslim-Christian coexistence, and restoring respect for the Constitution, the Taef Accord and the ministerial policy statement, which includes dissociating Lebanon from the regional conflicts and abstaining from interference in the internal affairs of Arab countries.
