NNA - Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah said on Friday that PM Saad Hariri is detained in Saudi Arabia and prevented from returning to Lebanon.

"We deprecate the blatant Saudi interference in Lebanon's internal affairs and condemn this insulting act against PM Saad Hariri since his arrival at the airport," Nasrallah said in a televised speech during a ceremony organized by the Party marking Imam Hussein's 40-day mourning commemoration and Martyr Day.

Nasrallah tackled in his speech the latest developments especially with respect to the shock resignation of PM Saad Hariri from Saudi Arabia.

The ceremony was attended by MP Naji Gharious representing President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, Finance Minister Ali Hassan Khalil representing House Speaker, Nabih Berri, Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon, Mohammad Fathali, Syrian Ambassador Ali Abdul Karim Ali, Minister of Industry Hussein Haj Hassan, as well as scores of official, political and party dignitaries.

"Since last Saturday, Lebanon has been plunged into a political crisis that placed Lebanon in a new phase," Sayyed Nasrallah said, indicating that the entire region is concerned about the situation in Lebanon.

Nasrallah recapped the significant attained achievements during the past year, starting from the election of the President of the republic, new election law endorsement and the consecration of an unparalleled security and stability in the region and the world.

"The positive scene witnessed in the country was due to the cooperation of all the political forces and concessions made by all," the Sayyed said, adding that this positivity was culminated this year by the liberation of the outskirts of the eastern borders from the terror groups.

The Sayyed said "amidst this entire fine situation and the good intentions by all the segments of political forces, Saudi Arabia has summoned urgently the head of the Cabinet and forced him to present his resignation and read out the already-written statement.

Nasrallah considered such a Saudi Arabia's conduct an unprecedented explicit intervention to force the prime minister to resign, saying all the Lebanese and the entire world have become certain about this issue through available information and data.

The Party chief brought to attention the presence of an attempt to deprive the PM Hariri of his leadership of Future Movement, and another attempt to impose a new prime minister on all the Lebanese.

Nasrallah also indicated that Saudi Arabia attempts to provoke the Lebanese against each other and inciting Arab and Gulf countries, in specific, to take escalatory steps against Lebanon, with the most dangerous incitement lies in stimulating Israel to strike Lebanon.

"It is clear that Saudi Arabia has declared war on Lebanon and Hezbollah," Nasrallah said, adding that SA calls on the Lebanese to topple and destroy Lebanon.

Nasrallah said that the Party deems any insult against Premier Hariri as an insult against all the Lebanese, regardless of the difference in politics.

The Party chief reiterated the call by the Future Movement and Future Bloc demanding the necessity of the return of Hariri to Lebanon.

Nasrallah considered Hariri's declared resignation as "illegal, unconstitutional, and invaluable since it occurred under force and coercion."

"The current government is an existing, constitutional and legitimate government... not a resigned one" Nasrallah said, adding "As such, it is meaningless to undergo parliamentary consultations as some conspirators demanded."

The Party chief also hailed the "wise, calm, and responsible management" of the crisis by President of the Republic, Michel Aoun, and House Speaker, Nabih Berri, stressing that such an astute management should be the spot of consensus amongst all the Lebanese.

He also urged the Lebanese to rally around such a management since it has preserved the country and safeguarded it at the security, economic and financial levels.
