NNA - North Lebanon regions had the devil to pay with September's first rainfalls, as a number of roads were reportedly cut off and agro fields engulfed in surging floods.



The National News Agency correspondent reported Tuesday that the heavy one-hour precipitations in Doniyeh uprooted a number of forest trees which fell off and blocked the main road linking the area to Tripoli city.



Moreover, roadside sewers got blocked, causing streets to turn into huge water puddles.


Some fields' terrains, for their part, grinded into plain surfaces, as waters submerged crops and soaked the soil.



In Akkar, NNA reporter said that floods immersed the road at the entrance of the town and penetrated through shops.



Only material damages were reported.
