NNA - Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros Rahi confirmed during a sermon he delivered at the Holy Mass held this Thursday in Faraya, that "the suffering, worries and poverty of our people are no secret."

"We look forward to having distinguished men, within the political community, with high sense of impartiality, dedication and non-indulgence in the wave of rampant corruption, aloof from cheap interests and enjoying the love of the nation, its people, and its laws. We long for men whose ambition is to build a State of institutions and law, not failure and conflict; to hold sub-elections soon, and public elections next May (...) and not hide behind false pretexts," he said.
