Hanady Gerges released in Tripoli

NNA - Alternate Attorney General in the North, Judge Ghassan Bassil, set free on Wednesday the Lebanese activist, Hanady Gerges, after being arrested last Friday by the Public Prosecution on charges of libel and slander, as well as defamation of the President of the Republic and the public authorities.

Earlier, Gerges's friends staged a sit in outside the Justice Palace in Tripoli, and hoisted banners calling for "Freedom for Hanady Gerges."
