NNA - The Indonesian Ambassador to Lebanon, Dimas Samodra, on Wednesday held a reception ceremony at Phoenicia Hotel celebrating his country's 68th anniversary.
The celebration witnessed the attendance of a huge crowd of people representing senior politicians, as well as a big number of officials and dignitaries.
After playing the Lebanese and Indonesian national anthems, the Indonesian Ambassador delivered a word hailing his country's endeavours en route to democracy, especially through its participation in the United Nations Peace Keeping tasks in different parts of the world.
"Indonesia plays a big role among South-East Asian countries at the level of economic and industrial development," said Samodra, adding that his country is also working on bolstering its relations within the Middle East region.
He described relations with Lebanon as "excellent" and hoped that it would be able to successfully face the existing problems inflicted by the growing number of Syrian refugees and the formation of a new cabinet.
