NNA - Caretaker Minister of Environment, Nazem El-Khoury confirmed that the President of the Republic, Michel Sleiman, is not asking for special requirements but is asking political leaders to ease their demands to allow forming a cabinet of all parties.
Khoury told "Voice of Lebanon" radio on Wednesday," if there were not trust in the person of the President of the Republic, there wouldn't have been a conference on Lebanon related to the displaced Syrians."
Khoury denied the "presence of any determined features for the upcoming cabinet formula", pointing out that the Premier-designate had set constants for his cabinet formation.
He confirmed the presence of constants in the Lebanese national policy as the national constitution, Taef agreement and Baabda declaration, saying "we are currently facing a critical situation which is not only related to the cabinets' formation".
He added that Baabda declaration is fixed while as cabinet formation is a variable issue, hoping political leaders would exert the needed efforts to ease demands on cabinet formation.
