NNA - Member of the Lebanese Forces bloc, Elie Kayrouz, said on Sunday that the essence of the problem in Lebanon lies in Hezbollah's weapons.
Keyrouz, representing the LF leader Samir Geagea at a Mass in Deir el-Ahmar in tribute to the souls of the martyrs, said that Hezbollah has transformed the Rafic Hariri International Airport into a place to perform kidnapping and blackmail.
In this context, he stressed the need to open a new airport in Lebanon, at Hamat or Koleiaat.
He considered that Hezbollah's involvement in the Syrian war has increased the dangers that threaten Lebanon, noting that "the party insists on its bets on a tyrannical regime in Syria, not hesitating to use chemical gases against his own people."
"In spite of the developments, the essence of the problem in Lebanon is in Hezbollah's arms, these unconstitutional and illegal weapons," Kayrouz protested, pointing out that during the 2005 and 2009 parliamentary elections, the majority of the Lebanese refused to recognize the non-state-controlled weapons.
