NNA - Member of Liberation and Development Bloc, MP Michel Moussa, said to Fajer Radio Saturday that the initiative of House Speaker Nabih Berri does not go against Baabda Declaration, stressing that the aim of the visits Development and Liberation MPs are making to various political parties is not to take the responses and final answers but rather to hold discussions and share ideas.
"The issue of forming the government is the hands of the President and the Prime Minister-designate," he said.
"We seek through Berri's initiative to remove obstacles and create a certain atmosphere among all that would facilitate the issue of cabinet formation, because the alternative is a collapse in economy and security."
When asked about Hezbollah's stance from said initiative, Moussa said, "the party is with the initiative in principle, but we must wait to meet and I do not think that [Hezbollah] has any problem with supporting Speaker Berri's suggestion."
