NNA - Outgoing Tourism Minister, Fadi Abboud, met on Sunday with outgoing Minister of Economy, Nicolas Nahhas, and discussed ongoing preparations for the meeting of ministers concerned with socio-economic issues, scheduled for September 2.
Abboud said in a statement that the economic situation required action, not speeches.
"We cannot fold our arms in the shadow of the current economic crisis. We must act quickly in order to resolve this issue, especially as the number of travelers fell by 10% this month, compared with August of last year," he added.
He called for taking effective action on a new transport policy for travelers and the export of Lebanese products.
