NNA - MP Bahia Hariri visited Tripoli Sunday where she met several prominent personalities, and called for a national day, September 1.
"We were touched by what happened in Tripoli as we were by Ruwais. We have only the choice of patience to live in peace and enjoy religious freedom. The only solution lies in the presence of the state," she said at the end of her tour with officials in Tripoli.
Hariri explained that the call for a national day was to send a message of peace to the people of Tripoli and the southern suburbs.
"The crime scene is a secondary issue, since those who perpetrate these crimes target all of Lebanon. The message behind the attacks is that the formula of Lebanon is being targeted. It is time that the Lebanese live in security and peace," she concluded.
