NNA - "Jamaa Islamiya" bloc member, Deputy Imad Hout, stressed that the Lebanese citizen's security should be a priority, not to mention well focused on, "but this cannot be applied with approval on self-security measures."



"Self-security is dangerous in our country and affects its cohesion. It also paves the way for any Syrian or Zionist intelligence system to tamper with the Lebanese arena," the MP told "Fagr" radio on Thursday.



The MP reiterated his rejection of self-security policies, stressing the need to confine it to the security apparatus.



Hout also noted that the main reason behind the prevailing security tension in Lebanon was the direct field intervention of Hezbollah in the Syrian crisis, calling on Hezbollah to reconsider its position for the Lebanese interest.



On the other hand, the MP denounced the "horrific crime" that took place yesterday (Wednesday) in Damascus and claimed the lives of innocent people through firing toxic rockets on them.



"This toxic massacre that shocked the world was an additional proof that the regime is a criminal one," Hout asserted.



Hout condemned the Security Council's position which just considered the use of chemical weapons a violation of the international laws and expressed his happiness with the United Nations desire to carry out investigations on the nature of the attack.
