Jarrah peeved with Syria massacre, pushes for international support

NNA - Member of Parliament, Jamal Jarrah, on Thursday vehemently deplored the carnage which was wrought on the Ghota region of the beleaguered Syrian nation yesterday.

Speaking to the Voice of Lebanon radio station, the lawmaker said that such a cruel and unprecedented massacre in the new history of mankind was an outright interpretation of the dangerously deep Syrian conflict.

"A clear stance ought to be voiced against those criminals, those terrorists, and this regime, before it cracks down on the entire Syrian nation," he said.

Jarrah also slammed the international stances in reaction to the Syrian massacre.

"The international position that was made in the wake of the massacre was not as big as this crime and catastrophe," he said.

Jarrah also blasted the security measures that are currently being adopted in Beirut Southern Suburbs, especially following Ruwais blast last week.

"These measures are an outright indication that Hezbollah snubs state measures, a thing which makes Dahiyah residents feel as if they're living in a statelet, at the full absence of the Lebanese government," he added.

The Future bloc MP went on to call for the deployment of international forces along the Lebanese-Syrian borders, saying that the Lebanese security forces have proven to be incapable of ensuring full security coverage along these borders.
